The Capacity-building for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (CABES) programme will offer an interactive online course on mainstreaming biodiversity into business as part of its Capacity Development Programme for professionals.
The course will introduce the IPBES Business and Biodiversity Assessment and key concepts linking business activities with biodiversity dependencies and impacts. Participants will examine approaches for measuring biodiversity impacts and dependencies and consider sectoral case studies addressing biodiversity-related risks and opportunities.
The course will also explore the role of businesses as agents of change and the policy, finance, governance and collaboration conditions that can support biodiversity-positive outcomes.
