The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) has opened the external review of the first draft chapters and summary for policymakers of its methodological assessment on integrated biodiversity-inclusive spatial planning and ecological connectivity.
The review invites governments and qualified experts, including scientists, decision makers, practitioners and other knowledge holders, to provide comments and feedback to help ensure the scientific quality and policy relevance of the assessment. The review process forms part of the assessment’s fast-track approach and will contribute to the development of the final report for consideration by the IPBES Plenary.
As part of the review process, IPBES will also convene online dialogues with national focal points and stakeholders in June 2026 to discuss the assessment and support engagement.
Reviewer registration required through the IPBES website.
