The Open Communications for the Ocean will host a webinar exploring kelp forests, their biodiversity, and their importance to coastal communities worldwide.
The session will discuss the impacts of climate change on kelp ecosystems and highlight approaches used by MasKelp to support kelp conservation through science, capacity building, and communication, with a particular focus on Latin America.
The webinar will showcase how MasKelp connects scientific research with conservation action, including the identification of climate refugia, the development of long-term ecological monitoring programmes, and efforts to strengthen local capacity.
