Women Science Teachers will convene an online session at Science Summit 2026 exploring how cultural heritage can contribute to scientific innovation, education, environmental sustainability and social inclusion.
The session will present international examples of how tangible and intangible cultural heritage can be connected with STEM and STEAM education, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, citizen science and creative practices. Discussions will examine how these approaches can support heritage protection, environmental awareness, biodiversity conservation and climate resilience.
Particular attention will be given to the role of women and girls, educators, researchers, museums, young people and local communities in co-creating inclusive approaches to heritage protection and sustainability. The session will also consider how heritage-based education can support scientific literacy, critical thinking, intercultural dialogue and responsible innovation.
