The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will host the next session of its Adaptation and Resilience Dialogues on 2 September 2026, focusing on how Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) systems can support the implementation and tracking of national climate adaptation efforts.
The webinar will examine the role of MEL systems in measuring progress towards the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA), including the UAE Framework for Global Climate Resilience and the Belém Indicators. It will also share lessons from UNDP’s global National Adaptation Plan (NAP) portfolio and explore practical approaches to strengthening national systems for tracking adaptation progress.
Government representatives, development partners, academia and civil society will be invited to reflect on emerging practices and country experiences. A panel discussion will feature examples from Thailand, Kyrgyz Republic, Egypt, Tanzania and Panama, with a focus on operationalizing national MEL systems and connecting global adaptation targets with national and local action.
