The Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) of UNDP, the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership, and PANORAMA – Solutions for a Healthy Planet will convene the third webinar in the Knowledge Exchange on Nature Finance series, focusing on inclusive approaches to financing biodiversity conservation and supporting nature stewards.
The session will explore how nature finance can better reach Indigenous Peoples, local communities, women and youth, and address practical barriers that limit access to biodiversity finance. It will feature case studies and solutions that demonstrate approaches for making biodiversity finance more inclusive.
The webinar will include discussions on the Together for Tamaraws Crowdfunding Campaign, which supports endangered species conservation and local livelihoods in the Philippines; the Mujeres Natura (Women Nature) Programme, which promotes women’s access to nature-positive finance and participation in biodiversity decision-making in Costa Rica; and funding opportunities through the Finance Resources for Biodiversity (FIRE) database.
The event will also include interactive discussions with practitioners and policymakers on experiences and approaches for mobilising and aligning finance for people and the planet.
