Organized as part of London Climate Action Week, this event will bring together faith leaders, Indigenous Peoples, scientists, donors and policymakers to discuss pathways for accelerating action to halt deforestation while strengthening forest monitoring, financing mechanisms and community leadership.
Through two linked sessions, participants will explore how moral leadership and practical solutions can work together to protect forests, support the communities that steward them and contribute to climate action. Discussions will focus on the connections between forest conservation, community empowerment and sustainable financing for forest protection.
The event is intended for stakeholders working in climate action, forest conservation, Indigenous Peoples’ rights, sustainable development and environmental policy.
