The post-Trialogue webinar will revisit the outcomes of the BESPIN Regional Trialogue for Europe and Central Asia, held in Skopje, North Macedonia, in May 2026. The Trialogue brought together policymakers, scientists and practitioners from across Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia to explore how biodiversity and climate knowledge generated by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) can be translated into practical action.

The webinar will highlight the BESPIN Action Document, which captures regional pathways and country-level actions identified through the Trialogue. It will also provide an opportunity to discuss experiences, priorities and initiatives that have emerged since the Trialogue, including activities related to the Seventeenth Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17).
The programme will include reflections on the Trialogue, regional perspectives from the RESPIN project and the ECA Network, an overview of the Trialogue journey from dialogue to action, and an exchange among countries and partners. The discussion will focus on practical experiences, emerging priorities, opportunities for collaboration and relevant CBD COP17 activities. Participants will also have an opportunity to engage in an open discussion and audience exchange.
The webinar is open to the public and is particularly relevant to BESPIN Trialogue participants, CBD National Focal Points, IPBES National Focal Points for Europe and Central Asia and members of the ECA Network. Simultaneous interpretation between English and Russian will be provided.
