Sahabat Alam Malaysia is hosting a report launch webinar examining regulatory gaps in Malaysia’s financial system in relation to forests and community rights. The session will introduce a new report commissioned as part of the Forests & Finance Coalition, focusing on Target 14 of the Global Biodiversity Framework under the Convention on Biological Diversity.
The discussion will explore remaining gaps in Malaysia’s financial regulations and consider how policies can be strengthened to prevent deforestation and uphold community rights. Speakers include Theiva Lingam and Gulzhan Musaeva, with moderation by Hilary Kung.
