The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Mongolia will host a side event at UNCCD COP17 examining how commitments on land restoration, biodiversity, climate resilience and food security can be translated into coordinated investment and action.
The session will explore how parallel efforts across these areas can be brought together through a shared land investment platform, with a focus on developing strategic, unified and investment-ready approaches to land management.
The event will bring together perspectives from government, research, finance and international organizations to discuss opportunities for strengthening coordination and investment across interconnected land, biodiversity and climate priorities.
