The 20th Africa Food Systems Forum will take place from 1 to 4 September 2026 at the Kigali Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme “Investing in Africa’s Agri-Food Systems.”
The Forum will bring together more than 5,000 stakeholders from over 50 countries, including government leaders, scientists, investors, development organizations, businesses and other actors working across Africa’s food systems. The programme will focus on mobilizing investment and strengthening food systems through policy dialogue, knowledge exchange and partnership building.
The 2026 programme is structured around five thematic areas: investment and finance, food security and nutrition, climate resilience, youth and digital innovation, and trade, markets and value chains. Sessions will address issues such as blended finance, smallholder productivity, climate-resilient agriculture, digital agri-tech, entrepreneurship and regional market development.
Participants may attend as delegates, take part in the Forum’s Deal Room, participate in side events or engage through other Forum activities.
