The CGIAR Multifunctional Landscapes Programme will host a webinar exploring how improved water governance, land restoration and inclusive decision-making can strengthen drought resilience in the face of increasing water scarcity and climate-related challenges.
The session will examine the links between water governance and food security, highlighting approaches that support transparent decision-making, accountability and resilience in agrifood systems. Discussions will focus on protecting smallholder farmers, pastoralists, women, youth and communities most affected by water insecurity, while exploring practical strategies for drought preparedness and integrated water resources management.
The webinar will feature Dr Mohsin Hafeez, Strategic Program Director for Water, Food and Ecosystems at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). The programme includes a keynote presentation, moderated discussion and question-and-answer session.
