CGIAR is organizing a webinar on Water Governance for Drought Resilience, bringing together experts and partners to discuss how water governance, land restoration and drought resilience can help protect communities and systems most affected by water scarcity.
The webinar will examine the growing impacts of drought on food systems, livelihoods and economies, highlighting approaches to integrated water resources management, assessment frameworks, accountability and transparent decision-making. Discussions will emphasize inclusive governance that supports smallholder farmers, pastoralists, women, youth and communities on the frontlines of water insecurity.
The session will feature a presentation by Dr. Mohsin Hafeez, Strategic Program Director for Water, Food and Ecosystems at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), followed by a moderated discussion and question-and-answer session.
