The Capacity-building for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (CABES) programme will offer an interactive online course on mainstreaming biodiversity into policy, planning and decision-making as part of its Capacity Development Programme for professionals.
The course will introduce biodiversity mainstreaming and its relevance to implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, national biodiversity strategies and action plans (NBSAPs) and related policy processes. Participants will explore how biodiversity evidence can be communicated for policy use, how key stakeholders and entry points can be identified, and how assessments and spatial data can support decision-making across sectors.
The course will also address practical approaches to monitoring progress and supporting the sustained uptake of biodiversity considerations within institutions.
