BES-Net and partners will host a webinar examining how national ecosystem assessments can serve as practical entry points for operationalizing a Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) in biodiversity and climate action.
The session draws on a two-year multi-stakeholder dialogue process that culminated in the Inclusive Conversations Report. It will explore how national ecosystem assessments can generate policy-relevant evidence, support inclusive participation and strengthen the voices of rights-holders in biodiversity and climate decision-making.
Case studies from Botswana, Colombia and Malawi will illustrate how countries at different stages of the assessment process are applying these approaches and what lessons may be relevant for wider replication.
